Bravo..almost real

September 9 2006
New Delhi,
It was a pleasant day and all over the places smiles were flowing like a river full of life and joyfulness. Everything in life of Shreedhar was perfect except his mind. He was feeling restless and wanted to do something that could make him successful and popular and only thing he could do to popularize himself was to do something which would be unique and exceptionally different from what other have done in life. So he was sitting in his balcony and giving a deep thought to it. Lots of creative ideas were coming into his head but he was not getting excited about all those stuff. He really wanted to do something that could make him happy, in fact he always dreamt of living life full of adventure. So was very particular about the things he wanted to do. He was very dare devil kind of a guy .So he decided to be a part of a television crew.
Though he was a qualified guy but to get into the television industry his qualification was not there, anyway he went ahead and meet few directors and television professionals. Everyone guided him differently and gave their own inputs but Shree was not satisfied with any of the inputs he received. One fine day when he was planning to visit a big production house in South Delhi he bumped upon a female journo called Shivani Singh.
A young vibrant gal from Kanpur who wanted to be a part of the world renowned television company CNN and to achieve that she can go to any length. Anyways when Shree meet Shivani the condition or rather I must say the situation was very interesting. Though Shree didn’t knew much of the television technicalities one thing he knew how to present himself in any situation and he was bold enough to manage any goof ups. So while coming to the office of this production house he boarded a blue line bus from Janakpuri D-Block to reach G.-11 where the office was located. Anyways the incident occurred inside the private bus.
While standing in the row next to the ladies seat Shree was very conscious that he behave properly and the route in which this bus plied carried the passengers mostly student of professionals working in South Delhi. Anyways while standing inside the bus he saw a young girl, quite fair in complexion and through looks seems very intellectual stood beside Shree. He was very excited and in the same time reluctant to know the name of the gal, but was not sure how will she react, while his thoughts revolved around that girl suddenly out of blue this girl took a note of 10 bucks and looked deep into Shree’s eyes and with a very soft voice requested him to forward the money to the bus conductor and ask for a 10 bucks ticket .He was so delighted and eagerly took it from her hand and asked for the ticket. Now he had a chance of speaking to her as she initiated the whole process and no one would mind in the bus .The bus was not over crowded but ya it was not that empty too. Anyway Shree wanted to know lot of things about that girl , in the meanwhile the conductor passed on the ticket to Shivani and Shree was very annoyed as why did he give the ticket when the money was passed through him. But he kept quite . But the eagerness to speak to this girl was disturbing him and whenever he was getting a chance to look at her he never missed it. There was something in that girl that attracted him, maybe the confidence or the way she was carting herself. Anyways in the meanwhile the bus reached Dhaula Kaun half way through to South Ex and few of the passengers got down leaving vacant seats for other standing passengers to accommodate. So both of them got a seat beside each other and this was the best chance for Shree to start the conversation.
Shree: Hey u seems to be of Delhi, can u tell how long will it take me to reach G.K-11 as I m new to this city.
Shivani: Oh!! So u r new to this city. Welcome to dream land Sir.
Shree: Hey pls call me Shree..I m Shreedharan Bhaskar from Chennai. Came here in search of job and I m asked by this Production house to come for an interview.
And that where I m going to.
Shivani: Okay so u r going for an Interview!! All the very Best Shree..
Shivani smiled back to him with fun in her wide eyes.
Shree: So u r a student. I suppose
Shivani couldn't control her giggle and said
Shivani: Well I must say thank you for considering me as a student but just to inform u I m Journalist and going to my office after covering a special event in D-block in Janakpuri.
Hearing this Shree was stunned for sometime and after a while he asked her as in which company she works and when she disclosed her office name it was the same in which he was going for interview.
Hearing this Shivani became very happy and wished him all the very best for the interview and also said that she will help her if he needs any. Took out her purse and forwarded him her card and said see Shree I m an outsider like u and have struggled a lot but believe me always have faith in ur self and never loose hope bcos that’s the spirit and it always helps u to get good out of life at any point of time.
Lets do a mock before u go for real interview. I will give u some information that will help u to get the interview cleared.
Hearing this Shree was happy too and took the card in his hand and looked at it for sometime and said
Shree: One day I will also have such kind of cards and will definitely provide assistance like I have just received from u.
Anyways the distance of 25 km zapped up and it was time for them to get down and take their respective ways.
But before they bid goodbye they exchanged their phone numbers and promised to be in touch and went ahead.
So finally it was interview time and in the waiting lounge he again meet this sweet girl but in a totally transformed manner wearing Official wear and looking very decent .She meet him and wished him and moved towards the in-house studio for a live show that she was hosting for the production house .So Shree came back to the seat and was waiting for his turn and after spending some 30 mins in the waiting lounge he was called inside the cabin of the MD of the production house Mr.Menon.
It was almost 2 and half hrs inside the cabin and God knows what all he was asked. Once the door open Shree came with a broad smile in his face and appointment letter in his hand .He was very elated and wanted to share the gud news with his new friend who was doing a shoot for a live show. It was almost 3 hrs now that Shree was waiting for that girl to come out of the in-house studio and the people around were amused to see this young fellow wait there until she came out.
Looking at him Shivani was taken a back and she came up to him who by this time was tiered and was dousing off in the lounge sofa .She came near to him and said.
Shivani: Hey Mr.Shreedahr how come ur still here??
Hearing the familiar sound his eyes opened and saw her standing rite in front of him.
Somehow he managed to stand up and said
Shree: Well I have gud news to share with u so I waited for u this long.
Shivani: (So touched by the way he waited) hmmm…so come-on tell me the gud news buddy and did u have something to eat??
Well the good news is that I have been appointed as a production co-coordinator in this firm and I have to join within 10 days and yes I had a cup of tea that’s it.
Hearing this Shivani was very happy and said him to wait for few more mins so that she can change and go back to home.
Shree in the mean time wanted to spend some time with this girl so he asked her for dinner.
Shivani smiled at him and said, “Today I need to go bcos I have an early morning shoot tmrw but the party is surely due. Well we can have snacks and tea to begin with…I hope this will be fine"
Well by this way the friendship between this production coordinator and the Special correspondent began and the journey to make it big and different in life of Shree began.

In the line of Fire
19 October 6:45 AM, Sector 21 Uri J&K
“Gud Morning and welcome to CNZ News and this Special Correspondent Shivani Singh reporting from the insurgency hit area of J&K and its being seen from last 24 hrs that heavy artillery firing is continuously taking place from the other side of the border .We are bringing u the exclusive pictures of these firings and it is absolutely live .We are just a few kilometers away from the line of control and it seems this is a well planned firing to make the possible infiltration of the militants from the other side of border……”
Suddenly there was a huge bang and everything was covered in a huge pile of smoke.
Shreedhar, Shivani and camera person Hamid somehow escaped the rocket attack.
After a while when the sense returned to Shree he could only see dust, blood and almost felt silence was prevailing everywhere around. Somehow he managed to stand up just to see how are the other in his team doing, suddenly he saw Shivani lying unconscious and Hamid bleeding profusely. Somehow he tried to bring Shivani to her senses, there was no water around and he was feeling helpless. But in his mind he thought that it was the perfect time when he can make a difference and live life with dignity, which he always wanted to lead. He took the camera that was still rolling and went out of the bunker and started filming the incidence and in the process made calls to the office in Delhi for arranging a live transmission of the incidence and send for some medical help for both Shivani and Hamid.
Hearing this development Delhi office went into tizzy as Shivani Singh was the most brave heart correspondent and they couldn't afford to loose her anyway. So the MD Mr.Menon called up the Major General of Uri sector and asked for a cover to his team who were camping to provide the live coverage for this ongoing operation.
In the meantime Shree was about to make history in the field of Media and Entertainment by becoming the first production co-coordinator to be a live correspondent. So he started the coverage by the same script, which Shivani used to say, but this time did an extra attempt to highlight the impact of these cross border infiltration by filming his own college who were victim of the incidence. He went ahead and came out of the bunker and started sending the feeds to the Delhi office for further transmission and those were really fantastic coverage .The whole team in Delhi were stunned by this man’s bravery and courage and the commitment towards the job assigned.
The whole world saw the real footage of the cross border firing and also made a strong statement towards international community which till now always thought that the magnitude of the problem was not that much which could lead to disturb the peace in Asia.
So this man Shreedahr Bhashkar was now seen as the face of the change brought in the Media. Soon the Delhi office of CNZ was bursting with activity and phone never stopped in acknowledging the brave act of this young man .
In the mean while when Shree was covering the incident Shivani Singh got back to sense and looked for Shree but only found Hamid who was badly injured crying for help .Somehow when Shivani managed to get out of the bunker she could see Shree covering the entire firing singly handedly and making history for himself and the future journos. She was in pain but felt really happy for this man as she knew that he was very brave and equally talented .Soon after covering the firing when Shree can back to the bunker Shivani couldn’t control her self and hugged him and said that u have made a gr8 effort and made history by covering the incident and she was very proud of him.
Soon the army arrived with medical help and requested them to vacant the site as it wasn’t safe for them to be there as the firing grew more and more.
So they finally wrapped up there belongings and moved out with the Indian Army to return to there base which was far more safe than staying in the line of fire.
So now when he reached the base camp he was a hero nationwide and a call from Mr.Menon confirmed that now he was much more important as a journalist and he has really changed the way Journalism was seen by the youth.
